Membership in the Daughters of the American
Revolution (DAR) honors and preserves the legacy of our patriot
ancestors. Over two hundred years ago, American Patriots fought and
sacrificed for the freedoms we enjoy today.
DAR Members are educators, students, professionals, mothers, historians,
genealogists, and homemakers who continue this legacy and play an active
role in their communities promoting our objectives of patriotism,
education, and historic preservation. With almost 3,000 chapters
throughout the world, and with over 170,000 members, we are one of the
largest women's organizations in the world.

Promoting American history throughout the year
by honoring historically significant people, places, dates, and
events.

Participating in commemorative events such as
Flag Day, Veteran's Day, and the 4th of July.

Participating in meaningful service projects throughout the
community.

Recognizing students with awards and scholarships. Involving all family
members in promoting service efforts.

Supporting the Constitution of the United States of America, the
patriotic values of our country, and the military men and women who
serve the nation.

Enjoying camaraderie with other DAR members during projects, events, and
social events.

Embracing
opportunities to improve leadership abilities by taking on
responsibilities at chapter, state, and national levels.
