Chapter Meetings

The DeShon Chapter meets the third Saturday of the month, September through June.  There is no July or August meeting.  Meetings include: ritualistic openings, devotions, patriotic recitations, as well as the reading of the President General’s Message and the National Defense Report.  Reports are presented by the Chapter Chairmen of the Committees.  Guest speakers as well as members provide interesting programs relating to a wide variety of subjects.  Subjects include community projects, lineage and genealogical research, history, and current issues of concern.  The meeting is followed by refreshments and fellowship.

The DeShon Chapter is an active chapter.  The Chapter promotes historic preservation, education and patriotism.   Awards are given throughout the year for Good Citizens, American History Essays, ROTC, Conservation and Community Service.

Prospective members are welcome and assistance is available in filling out DAR Application papers.
