Woody
Jonathan
Woody was born June 15, 1756, in a Quaker settlement
of Surry County, North Carolina. He died after
April 18, 1850, in Wapello County, Iowa. His
burial was in Dahlo-negal Cemetery northeast of
Ottumwa. A stone marker was placed at
his grave-side by the Elizabeth Ross Chapter DAR at
a memorial ceremony on October 6, 1968. Jonathan
Woody served out of North Carolina during the
Revolutionary War.
