Dear Daughters,

As you know, this is the 75th Anniversary of Junior Membership. Juniors represent the future of DAR. Chapters need to encourage their Juniors to become involved in their chapters and on the state level. To help bring information to Juniors across the state, a new email newsletter has been sent to all of the Juniors whose email addresses we had on file. If you know of a Junior who did not receive the newsletter, please share this link with her.

The Iowa Period Room

All members are encouraged to learn more about the Period Rooms at the DAR Headquarters in Washington, DC. We have been discussing the Iowa Period Room, particularly because we have been asked to consider replacing the gate for our room. At the Board of Management Meeting in August 2011 and again at the District Meetings in September 2011 photographs of the Iowa Room, current gate(s), and proposed gate have been shown. Here are some photographs and links which may be of interest to members.

Are you a new chapter officer and need a password for e-Membership?

If someone in your chapter has contacted OSG and reported you as an officer, email membershipservices@dar.org providing them with your name, chapter name, chapter, office, national number, requesting your password. You will receive your password the same day, provided it is Monday-Friday, as the staff does not work on the weekends.

If your correct email is in the system, you can also request it send automatically. This system works 24/7 but your email address has to be in the system correctly and you must be listed as one of the officers that is entitled to access.

If you are NOT a member of our ISDAR Yahoo group, please join below. This group is for *ALL* Iowa DAR members to keep you updated on DAR happenings in the state of Iowa.

This group is open to ISDAR members only, so you will have some challenge questions you will need to answer before your membership will be approved.
