Patriot Soldiers Buried in Iowa

Jackson County

Eli Edwards

Eli Edwards was born about 1760 in Connecticut.  He moved to Luzerne County, Pennsylvania, before 1810,  and then to Delaware County, Ohio, about 1826.  In 1842, he moved to Jackson County, Iowa Territory.   Eli died after 1850 but the location of his burial has never been determined.  The logical place would be the Willison Cemetery in Farmers' Creek Township of Jackson County, but this has not been proven.  His service has not been proven either.
