Lawrence Van Hook Chapter, Maquoketa, Iowa, was organized on May 23,
1970.
Lawrence
Van Hook was a Revolutionary War Patriot, who is buried in nearby
Andrew, Iowa. One of the Chapter projects is to lay a wreath
on his grave, in remembrance, each year as part of the Andrew
Memorial Day activities.
